Description:
As the journey progressed uphill, the dark grounds became less visible and I found myself walking on a white carpet of snow. The path led up through wide valleys and went down narrow crevices, until one day, the horizon line was drawn into the serrated and snowy peaks of the impressive Altai Mountain ridge. The colour of the snow would regularly change. From a pink rectangle at sunrise, to white blue when the sky was clear and the sun was blazing in full force but forgot to heat, to shades of grey when suddenly clouds appeared and disappeared as they came.
