Countless pilgrims come to celebrate Kumbh Mela

Description:

Allahabad, The City of Allah, received its name from the Mughal emperor, Akbar the Great, in the 16th century. However, since 2018, after multiple attempts to revive its original Hindu name, it is called Prayagraj, as well. This year, the city hosts the Half Kumbh Mela from mid-January until the beginning of March. Despite the modest title “half”, this event is expected to attract roughly 100 million pilgrims, probably a matter of perspective.
