The Dao Do "Red Women" sitting at the doorways

Description:

The Sapa area is home to five ethnic groups that differ in dress, tradition, and dialect. The Dao Do ‘Red Women’ sitting at the doorways of their town Ta Phin, making traditional clothing, and the Tay men wearing the traditional Vietnamese cone-like hat called Non-La (Non - hat, La - Conical Shape) and work in farming on the mountains, are two of these groups. The largest of them, making up about half of the population in the province, is the H’mong Group, which is a subgroup of Miao people living in China. Their name means a young seedling rising from the ground and they also have subgroups that bear the Hmong name as a primary name with a supplement that makes them unique and mainly describes the type of clothing they wear. The Black Hmong of Sapa, the White Hmong of Ha Gang, and the Red Hmong of Pa CO are just some of the Hmong people in the Northern mountains of Vietnam.
