Highlights of the royal bath

Description:

The royal bath started around four o’clock in the morning. It was preceded by a procession of the holy men and their disciples, some riding horses and camels, all stark naked, smeared with white campfire ash. They carried deadly swords and tridents, and they exclaimed the names of Gods and religious mottos with elation. “Har har Mahadev… har har Gange,” they cried out, meaning, “we are all Mahadev”, which is another name for the God, Shiva. In other words, Shiva is within each of us.
